Facilitator Training

The American Lung Association of Minnesota offers facilitator training for the Freedom From Smoking® (FFS) Cessation Program and the Not On Tobacco (N-O-T)® Teen Cessation Program.

Facilitator training will prepare individuals to conduct the cessation programs using the respective curriculum and material. Trainings are scheduled on an "as needed" basis, when 10 or more people are interested. (See below for upcoming dates).

COST
The cost of the one-day facilitators training is $200 per person. This cost covers:

  • Facilitator training
  • Facilitator Curriculum
  • Participant folder and additional information
  • Certificate of Participation
  • Lunch

TO BECOME A CLINIC FACILITATOR, A PERSON MUST:

  • Be a non-smoker, or an ex-smoker
  • Be experienced in conducting group programs
  • Attend a FFS or N-O-T facilitator training class conducted by the American Lung Association of Minnesota (ALAMN)
  • Fill out and abide by the ALAMN Facilitators Agreement Form
  • Conduct at least two clinics per year
